3st ACM MobiCom Workshop on Integrated Sensing and Communication Systems (ISACom) for 6G

2024 Washington, USA

CALL FOR PAPERS

With the evolution of next-generation networks such as 6G, ultra-dense and cell-free architectures will become mainstream, driving the adoption of communication and sensing technology. These densely packed radio transceivers facilitate the creation of passive sensing networks, enabling rapid and cost-effective deployment of sensing capabilities. Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) emerges as a pivotal theme for upcoming wireless systems. Through the integration of wireless sensing capabilities into communication devices, we can achieve a co-design of communication and perception using existing hardware and spectrum resources. This integration not only improves the performance and efficiency of communication systems but also lays the foundation for the development of smart cities, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other fields.

Reaping the benefits of ISAC requires overcoming challenges such as system and algorithmic complexity, resource allocation efficiency, interference management, and overhead control. This incentivizes future research to further investigate and fully implement these promising technical paradigms. The 3th ACM MobiCom Workshop on Integrated Sensing and Communication Systems (ISACom) will gather ISAC researchers from academia, industry, national labs, funding agencies, and policymakers to present their latest research findings and brainstorm on the future challenges when conquering integration between communications and sensing. We look forward to meeting you either virtually or in person in Washington, USA.

It is intended that this workshop will show the state-of-the-art in ISAC original research contributions, tutorials and review including (but not limited to):

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Fundamental information theoretical limits for ISAC
  • Network architectures/network cooperation/transmission protocols for ISAC
  • Signal design/intelligent signal processing for ISAC
  • Resource management/allocation for ISAC
  • Smart networking technology for ISAC
  • Interference management and analysis for ISAC
  • Channel measurement/sharing for 6G ISAC
  • Frame structure and waveform design for ISAC
  • Coding and decoding technology for ISAC
  • Machine Learning/Artificial intelligence/edge computing for ISAC
  • Security and privacy issues for ISAC
  • MIMO/Massive MIMO/intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) for ISAC
  • Millimeter wave/THz technologies for ISAC
  • Near-field communication for ISAC

Instructions for Authors

Submission Instructions

Papers should contain original material, namely, material that has not been previously published or currently submitted for consideration elsewhere. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit a single PDF file with all fonts embedded, using the ACM conference proceedings format. (Use the same PDF formatting guidelines as the main conference.) Paper length is limited to six (6) pages (two-column, 10-point format) including references, figures, etc. Papers must include the author names and affiliations for single-blind peer reviewing by the program committee. Authors of accepted papers are expected to present their papers at the workshop. Accepted papers will be published in the ACM ISACom proceedings and will be archived in the ACM Digital Library.

Template

This LaTeX template should be useful in complying with the above requirements, but as an author you bear the final responsibility to verify that your submission is format-compliant.
